Through your generous instrument donations, L.I.N.K. matches up used orchestral instrument with kids who want to play, refurbishes the instruments, and puts them in the hands of children who want to learn.
What a wonderful way to give new life to that instrument in the attic and give a child a free instrument to bring musical joy into his or her life!
NHMF has partnered up with Fiddlehead Field to organize lessons and school concerts each year, and works directly with music teachers to determine which students need instruments. (If you’d like to learn more about their free music camps, please download their informational flyer or visit their website!)
We as the Festival would like to thank you for donating instruments, and for giving funds to have instruments repaired! The photos below are of just a few of the many children who have been touched by your generosity. We are seeking more instruments and more funds…we are especially low on instrument donations during COVID!
Have a lonely instrument to donate?
Or, support the program with a donation for instrument repair.
Up in the attic,
tucked in the corner,
sleeps a sweet little old cello.
He needs new strings and his bow re-haired
but other than that
he is a quite lovely little fellow.
Long ago he had a child
who lugged him everywhere,
and played with him every day
But now he sleeps
all dusty and dreaming
of a new child to come his way.
go get him, bring him to us
we will fix him right up
making his little bow glide
In return for your gift
we promise to find
a child to unlock the music inside
