Bank of America Music In the Schools Program
Every year there is more hard data that support the importance of music as a tool necessary for building the skills and creating the environment necessary for learning to take place. Music is a highly engaging mental and physical activity which has the potential to develop the specific behavioral, emotional and academic skills needed for all learning to take place.
The Music In the Schools program presents entertaining, informative and engaging performances by the New England Brass. Held in 30 schools each year, the program has reached more than 10,000 children each year in grades K – 5. In 2009, the program reached 11,361 children in elementary schools in Concord, Contoocook, Dover, Exeter, Hampstead, Hanover, Hudson, Londonderry, Manchester, Merrimack, Nashua, Plaistow, Portsmouth, Rochester, Salem and Somersworth.
